Great post about the best way to clean canvas using bleach. I do have a question though. Is there anything other then bleach to use if you unable to use bleach because of irritation.

Canvas should be cleaned with a brush as part of it’s regular maintenance. Bird droppings can usually be removed with a brush and COLD water.

However if there are Mold spores Bleach is best as that is the only thing that will kill the spores you can put it out in the sun but as soon as the canvas is wet again the Mold spores will be active again

    Hi,

I’ve heard about bleach as a best way to clean canvas. I’ve tried it myself and it actually is quite efficient. However, you’ve got to be real careful when handling the bleach as it is quite a strong chemical. Can be real harmful to the skin and the eyes! Always be safe than sorry, use a glove!

    Kind regards
